    Event: Summer 'Kids Bowl Free' Program

    Description: Kids can bowl two free games every day this summer with the 'Kids Bowl Free' Pass at participating bowling alleys in New England. For ages 15 and under. If you check the locations list, chances are pretty good that you'll find one close to you.
    (You can also purchasea family pass. The Family Pass includes 1, 2, 3, or 4 adults and includes 2 free games per person per day. You are not required to buy a family pass in order to get free kid's passes.)


    Event: Friday Night Stargazing: Museum Of Science

    Date/Time: Fri from 3/3/17 - 11/10/17, 8:30 pm -10 pm

    Location: Science Park, Cambridge, MA


    Description: Between 8:30 and 10:00 pm each Friday, weather-permitting, visit the Gilliland Observatory on the roof of the Museum’s parking garage. On clear nights, you can view stars, planets, the Moon, and other astronomical phenomena. On cloudy nights, tour the inside of our Observatory, and participate in astronomy-related activities run by our knowledgeable staff. This program does not run on nights when the weather is inclement.

    Description: Fresh Pond Reservation is truly Cambridge's green gem - an urban wild that protects Fresh Pond, Cambridge's in-city drinking water reservoir. Fresh Pond Day is the Cambridge Water Department's annual tribute to this unique Reservation that is a vital natural resource, an invaluable sanctuary for wildlife, and a beloved recreational escape in the City. So...let's give Fresh Pond the celebration, jubilation and love it deserves; join in the festivities! Live wildlife presentations, a wildlife and bike parade, live music, face painting, truck climb-aboards, tours, and more will abound! Free and open to all, activities will take place in and around the Water Treatment Facility located at 250 Fresh Pond Parkway, Cambridge.

    Parking is located at the Tobin School, 197 Vassal Lane. Please note: severe weather cancels this event. All dogs on-leash.

    Description: Anna Jaques is pleased to offer free group classes for all mothers in our community to provide support, encouragement and advice on parenthood and questions that arise after going home. Guest speakers present periodically on topics such as car seat safety, infant nutrition, and infant growth and development. No registration needed, open to all mothers and babies.

    Description: Norman Rockwell Museum will offer free admission on Thursday, May 18, as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors' (AAMD) Art Museum Day. Last year, Norman Rockwell Museum—along with more than 175 other AAMD member museums across North America—participated in the annual program. The theme of this year’s Art Museum Day is Art Museums Foster Vibrant Communities. In addition to bringing the best of human creativity to people across North America, museums serve as engines for the creative economy, partners with school systems and civic organizations, and anchors for public spaces and neighborhoods, making their regions better places for everyone who lives and works there.

    In addition to current exhibitions on the art of Norman Rockwell and Hanna-Barbera as well as digital interactives, Norman Rockwell Museum will present gallery talks starting at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. The Museum also invites visitors to share their experiences on Art Museum Day via social media, with the hashtag #ArtMuseumDay.

    Description: You can encourage your children’s interest in animals by bringing them to animal focused “Kidleidoscope” programs at Great Falls Discovery Center. On May 20th the discovery center will be remembering the 341st anniversary of the Greater Falls Massacre and will host a variety of musical offerings, videos, speakers, presentations, and more.
