Massachusetts State Parks offer a wonderful variety of activities, amenities, and natural features that make each park unique. They include beaches, wooded parks, parkways, reservoirs, and more. Each park also offers special events, nature activities, and educational programs for people of all ages and abilities all year long. Winthrop Shore Reservation offers the following recreational opportunities: fishing, picnicking, and swimming.

A charitable, community-based agency responding to the basic needs of people of all ages, providing early childhood education and care, helping individuals develop their potential, creating positive family and community relationships, and fostering respect for diversity. The Family Skill Building Program offers parenting education classes to help parents enhance their parenting skills and deal with significant parenting challenges. This group is for parents of children up to the age of 12 years, who are actively parenting their children. It is suggested that members participate in the full 7 week session. Child care is available on-site during evening classes for no additional charge.

The Worcester Connections Family Resource Center (FRC) is a community-based, culturally competent program that provides evidence-based parent education groups, information and referral, mentoring, and other opportunities for children and families in need, as well as services specific to children who are having serious problems at home and at school, including runaways, truants, and sexually exploited children, known as Children Requiring Assistance (CRA).

The Worcester CFCE is organized through the Worcester Public Schools.

The Worcester Housing Authority offers residents a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment in which to live and raise their families. The WHA reserves 15 apartments to house homeless families in its Transitional Housing Program in order to help homeless families become self-sufficient. The WHA also provides housing opportunities for individual and families with disabilities. These programs include federal public housing, state public housing, special needs housing, an alternative housing voucher program, and more. Cost is based on income.

The Worcester Housing Authority offers residents a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment in which to live and raise their families.
