Event: All Hands on Deck: A Sailor’s Life in 1812

Description: ‘All Hands on Deck: A Sailor's Life in 1812' is a hands-on, minds-on exhibition where families can step into the shoes of a sailor by furling a sail, firing a canon, scrubbing a deck, and snoozing in a hammock.
Sailors from the past, represented in full-scale photographic cut outs, convey the emotional highs and lows of life at sea through first person narrative.
The exhibition is designed to encourage families to make personal connections and to promote conversation among family members about what each might have felt or done if he or she was a Constitution sailor in 1812.
Event: East Boston Summer Recreation and Sports Center

Description: This is a full day drop-in program for youth ages 7-14 who are residents of the City of Boston.

Description: Find out where they'll be shooting fireworks off nearest you in the Boston area in 2019 - alphabetically by town.

Event: Kid Shows- Lowell Summer Music Series
Date & Time: Wednesdays and Thursdays through July 10th - August 8th, 10AM-12PM
Location: Boarding House Park, 40 French St. Lowell, MA 01852
Description: As part of the Lowell Summer Music Series, a special series of kids performances takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Activities include make-and-take art at 10 a.m., a performance at 11 a.m., and National Trolley Park rides at noon.
All shows are FREE Each will include:

All children’s shows will be relocated to the Cyrus Irish Auditorium at Lowell High School located diagonally across French Street from Boarding House Park.

Event: Creature Catch!

Description: Meet at Frye Pond Beach - Fish, frogs, snakes, and salamanders, let’s discover what lives in our tranquil New England ponds! Nets and buckets are provided. This activity can be wet and muddy. Recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sun screen, binoculars and camera. Appropriate for all ages.
Event: Rockport Farmers Market

Description: The Rockport Farmers' Market is a small market that runs each Saturday through the Summer (June - early October). Sponsored by the Rockport Exchange, the market is limited in size due to the size of the Harvey Park - a quaint setting in the heart of downtown found on the corner of Mount Pleasant Street and Broadway, across from the entrance to T-Wharf.
The Rockport Farmers Market is a juried food market, where vendors are required to make their own food product. The new, open-air market specializes in locally grown fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, and honey, as well as fresh, locally sourced baked goods. Producers include a varied selection of local farms and community home growers. The weekly market will also feature Garden Talks, a program offering short, informative presentations made by local experts on topics ranging from tips for growing tomatoes to vegan cooking.

Description: The Green Hill Park Farm is home to various gentle farm animals and is a great place for families with children looking for a leisurely activity on a nice day. The farm is open year round and is located within Green Hill Park. The farm is free of charge and open to the public. Large groups wishing to visit should contact the Farm's Zookeeper at 508-799-1323 to arrange a visit.

Event: Marine Biological Laboratory Tours
Date & Time: Throughout July & August 1:00 - 2:00 PM | 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Location: Pierce Exhibit Center | 100 Water Street Woods Hole, MA
Description: The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) offers guided seasonal tours throughout July and August! Tours are held Monday through Friday at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. The tour is approximately one hour, and includes a visit to the Marine Resources Center, the MBLWHOI Library, and a walk around the MBL campus. Reservations are required.
